IBPS Clerk (6) 2016 – Exam Pattern
About the examination – The test is designed to assess candidate’s aptitude for IBPS Clerks recruitment. If the test is held in different sessions, corrected scores will be calculated as normalized using the equi-percentile method. The scheme of examination and cut offs are as follows.
Preliminary exam
Duration – 1 hour
Maximum marks – 100

Time allotted will be as follows for each section in mains
- Reasoning – 30 minutes
- English language – 30 minutes
- Quantitative Aptitude – 30 minutes
- General Awareness (with special reference to Banking) – 40 minutes
- Computer Knowledge – 20 minutes
Negative Marking
For each question for which a wrong answer has been given by the candidate, one-fourth or 0.25 of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as penalty to arrive at corrected score.
